S.I. No. 50/2012 - Local Government (Tenure of Office of Managers) Regulations, 2012.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 17th February, 2012.

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 4 and 147 of the Local Government Act, 2001 (No. 37 of 2001), hereby makes the following regulations:

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Tenure of Office of Managers) Regulations, 2012.

2. In these Regulations “the Act” means the Local Government Act 2001 .

3. Subject to the Local Government (Officers Age Limit) Order 1957, ( S.I. No. 140 of 1957 ), the extension of the tenure period for the current Limerick City Manager shall be reduced from 3 years to 1 year 321 days, ending on 28 February 2012.

This Regulation makes provisions in relation to the extension of the tenure of the office of Limerick City Manager
