S.I. No. 81/2012 - Local Government (Household Charge) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, PHIL HOGAN, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 , 5 , 14 and 16 of the Local Government (Household Charge) Act 2011 , hereby make the following regulations:

Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Household Charge) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

2. In these Regulations — “the Regulations” means the Local Government (Household Charge) Regulations 2012 ( S.I. No. 1 of 2012 ).

3. Regulation 8 of the Regulations is hereby substituted by the following:

“8.The dates on or before which payment of the 4 instalments specified in Regulation 7 are to be made are as follows:

(a) the first instalment payment to be made on or before 31 March of the year to which the household charge relates;

(b) the second instalment payment to be made on or before 31 May of that year;

(d) the fourth instalment payment to be made on or before 30 September of that year.”.

4. Regulation 10 of the Regulations is hereby substituted by the following:

“10.Each of the following is a prescribed person for the purposes of section 14(1)(c) of the Act:

(a) the Local Government Computer Services Board established by the Local Government Computer Services Board (Establishment) Order 1975 ( S.I. No. 212 of 1975 ); and

(b) the Local Government Management Services Board established by the Local Government Management Services Board (Establishment) Order 1996 ( S.I. No. 410 of 1996 ).”.

5. The Schedule to the Regulations is amended by substituting the relevant address line 1, address line 2 and County/City Council in the Schedule to these Regulations for the relevant address line 1, address line 2 and County/City Council in respect of the same development name listed in the first column of the Schedule to the Regulations.
