S.I. No. 156/2015 - Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (Designation of National Sporting Arena) (National Stadium) Regulations 2015.

I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 21 of the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (No. 31 of 2003) and the Tourism and Sport (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 140 of 2011 ) (as adapted by the Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 141 of 2011 )), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (Designation of National Sporting Arena) (National Stadium) Regulations 2015.

2. In these Regulations “Act of 2003” means Intoxicating Liquor Act 2003 (No. 31 of 2003).

3. The Stadium, known as the National Stadium, situated at 145 South Circular Road in the city of Dublin is designated as a national sporting arena.

4. The areas indicated by the colour red on maps 1 and 2 of the designated national sporting arena referred to in Regulation 3 annexed to these Regulations are prescribed for the purpose of paragraph (a) of section 21(4) of the Act of 2003.

5. The areas indicated by the colour blue on maps 3 and 4 of the designated national sporting arena referred to in Regulation 3 annexed to these Regulations are prescribed for the purpose of paragraph (b) of section 21(4) of the Act of 2003.

The effect of these regulations is to designate the National Boxing Stadium as a national sporting arena under the Intoxicating liquor Act 2003 . On foot of these regulations a certificate approving the issue of a liquor licence for the arena will issue.
