I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 36 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 (No. 15 of 2013) and for the purposes of giving full effect to Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 1760/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 July 20011 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Movement) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2015. | ||
2. The Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Movement) Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 521 of 2014 ) are amended by substituting for Regulations 8 and 9 (inserted by the Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Movement) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 119 of 2015 )) the following: | ||
“8.The keeper of an animal shall comply with Article 7 (as amended by Regulation (EU) No 653/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 20142 ) of Regulation (EC) No 1760/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 July 20001. | ||
9. Regulations 3(1), 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 are penal provisions to which section 36(4)(b) applies.”. | ||
3. The Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Movement) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 119 of 2015 ) are revoked. | ||
