S.I. No. 473/2015 - Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No. 3) Regulations 2015.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 3rd November, 2015.

I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 and 50 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No. 3) Regulations 2015.

2. Part 4 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) shall be applied in respect of all classes of qualified households—

(a) with effect from 2 November 2015, by Kildare County Council and Meath County Council; and

(b) with effect from 16 November 2015, by Galway County Council, Mayo County Council and Sligo County Council.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)

Continuing the phased introduction of the Housing Assistance Payment scheme under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 , these Regulations provide that Part 4 of that Act will be applied in respect of all classes of qualified household by—

(a) Kildare County Council and Meath County Council, from 2 November 2015; and

(b) Galway County Council, Mayo County Council and Sligo County Council, from 16 November 2015.
