S.I. No. 222/2016 - Teaching Council (Amendment) Act 2015 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2016.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 6th May, 2016.

The Minister for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred on him or her by section 34 (4) of the Teaching Council (Amendment) Act 2015 (No. 31 of 2015), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Teaching Council (Amendment) Act 2015 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2016.

2. The 29th day of April 2016 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Teaching Council (Amendment) Act 2015 (No. 31 of 2015) shall come into operation:

(a) section 2(a)(i), save in so far it inserts any of the following definitions in section 2 of the Principal Act, namely the definition of “Act of 1998”, “centre for education”, “complainant”, “delivery of home tuition”, “Garda Central Vetting Unit”, “GCVU disclosure”, “harm” and “poor professional performance”;

(b) section 3;

(c) section 8, other than subparagraph (a)(ii) of that section;

(d) section 10;

(e) section 11;

(f) section 12;

(g) section 13.
