S.I. No. 328/2016 - Broadcasting Act 2009 (Section 130(1)(a)(iv) Designation) Order 2016.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 28th June, 2016.

I, DENIS NAUGHTEN, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 130 (1)(a)(iv) of the Broadcasting Act 2009 (No. 18 of 2009), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting Act 2009 (Section 130(1)(a)(iv) Designation) Order 2016.

2. The television service, having the character of a public service, to be provided by Teilifís Mhaigh Eo Teoranta in accordance with a content provision contract between it and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland under section 71 of the Broadcasting Act 2009 (No. 18 of 2009), is designated for the purposes of section 130(1)(a)(iv) of that Act.
