S.I. No. 358/2016 - Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (Employees) Superannuation Scheme 2016.

		Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in
		“Iris Oifigiúil” of 15th July, 2016.
		The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No. 8 of 2006), with the approval of the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, given with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby makes the following scheme:
		1. (i) This Scheme may be cited as the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (Employees) Superannuation Scheme 2016.
		(ii) This Scheme comes into operation on 28 June 2016.
		2. The rules set out in the Schedule to the Rules for Pre-Existing Public Service Pension Scheme Members Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 582 of 2014 ) are adopted as a scheme for the granting of superannuation benefits on retirement or death to or in respect of members of the staff of the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority.
		3. The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority Staff Superannuation Scheme 2013 is hereby revoked upon the commencement of this Scheme.
		The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine approves the making of the above Scheme.

		EXPLANATORY NOTE

		The purpose of these Regulations is to adopt the Rules set out in the Schedule to the Rules for Pre-existing Public Service Pension Scheme Members Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 582 of 2014 ) as a scheme for the granting of superannuation benefits to or in respect of members of the staff of the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority. These Regulations also revoke the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority Staff Superannuation Scheme 2013.
