S.I. No. 456/2020 - Air Navigation and Transport (Amendment) Act 1998 (Aggregate Borrowings Limit Variation) Order 2020

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 (6) of the Air Navigation and Transport (Amendment) Act 1998 (No. 24 of 1998) (as adapted by the Transport, Tourism and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 351 of 2020 )), with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform and the Minister for Finance and after consultation with daa, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation and Transport (Amendment) Act 1998 (Aggregate Borrowings Limit Variation) Order 2020.

2. The amount specified in paragraph (a) of section 13(5) (inserted by paragraph 6 of the Schedule to the State Airports Act 2004 (No. 32 of 2004)) of the Air Navigation and Transport (Amendment) Act 1998 (No. 24 of 1998) is varied by substituting “€2,200,000,000” for “€1,800,000,000”.

The Minister for Finance consents to the making of the foregoing Order.

This Order provides for an increase, from €1.8bn to €2.2bn of the aggregate amount of moneys borrowed at any one time by the daa as specified in paragraph (a) of section 13(5) (inserted by paragraph 6 of the Schedule to the State Airports Act 2004 (No. 32 of 2004)) of the Air Navigation and Transport (Amendment) Act 1998 (No. 24 of 1998).
