I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 1 (5) of the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023 (No. 24 of 2023), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024. | ||
2. In this Order, “Act of 2023” means the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2023 (No. 24 of 2023). | ||
3. The 2nd day of September 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2023 shall come into operation: | ||
(a) Part 4 (insofar as it is not already in operation); | ||
(b) Part 5; | ||
(c) Part 9 (insofar as it is not already in operation). | ||
4. The 7th day of October 2024 is appointed as the day on which Part 7 of the Act of 2023 shall come into operation. | ||
