County Dublin Vocational Education Committee (Membership) Order 2004

I, Mary Hanafin, T.D., Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8(6) (as substituted by section 7(a) of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act 2001 (No. 23 of 2001)) of the Vocational Education Act 1930 (No. 29 of 1930)(as adapted by the Education (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 1997 ( S.I. No. 430 of 1997 )), hereby order as follows:

1.   This Order may be cited as the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee (Membership) Order 2004.

2.   Of the members of the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee elected under section 8(2)(a) (as substituted by section 7(a) of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act 2001 (No. 23 of 2001)) of the Vocational Education Act 1930 (No. 29 of 1930) —

(a)  five shall be elected by Fingal County Council

(b)  five shall be elected by South Dublin County Council, and

(c)  two shall be elected by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

This Order provides for the specified numbers of members elected by Fingal County Council, South Dublin County Council and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee, the aggregate of which must be twelve.
