Harbours Act, 1996 (Extension of the pilotage district of the Port of Waterford Company) Order 2006

I, Martin Cullen, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 79 of the Harbours Act, 1996 (No. 11 of 1996) and the Maritime Transport Safety and Security (Transfer of Departmental and Ministerial Functions) Order 2005 ( S.I. No. 842 of 2005 ) hereby order as follows:

1.         This order may be cited as the Harbours Act 1996 (Extension of the pilotage district of the Port of Waterford Company) Order 2006.

2.         The limits of the pilotage district of Port of Waterford as set out in Part II of the Third Schedule to the Harbours Act 1996 (No. 11 of 1996) pursuant to section 57(1)(a) of that Act are altered so as to be as set out in the Table to this Article.

TABLE

Limits comprising the following 2 limits:

(a)  the outward limits consisting of the waters of the sea and the River Suir within an imaginary arc with radius of 6.44 kilometres drawn seaward from a point midway between Falskirt Rock and Hook Point, and

(b)  the inward limit is the downstream face of the Fiddown Bridge immediately upstream of Morris Oil Berth.
