I, Willie O'Dea, Minister for Defence, being of the opinion that the activities of the Irish Red Cross Society regulated and controlled by the order being revoked in the following order are no longer required, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Irish Red Cross Act, 1954 (No. 28 of 1954), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Irish Red Cross Society (Directions as to Ambulance Service) (Revocation) Order 2006. 2. The Irish Red Cross Society (Directions as to Ambulance Service) Order 1955 (S.I 251 of 1955) is revoked. | ||||||||

The Order revoked prevents the Irish Red Cross Society from plying for hire of Red Cross ambulances, by advertisement, circular or in any other way. |
