Criminal Justice Act 2006 (Commencement) (No. 5) Order 2006

I, Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(3) of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 (No. 26 of 2006), after consultation with the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána, hereby order as follows:

1.       This Order may be cited as the Criminal Justice Act 2006 (Commencement) (No. 5) Order 2006.

2.       The 1st day of January 2007 is appointed as the day on which Part 11 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 (No. 26 of 2006) shall come into operation.
