I, MARY COUGHLAN, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) for the purpose of giving full effect to Commission Decision No. 2007/842/EC of 6 December 2007 1 , hereby make the following Regulations— | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Phytosanitary Measures) (Brown Rot in Egypt) (Amendment) Regulations 2008. | ||
2. The European Communities (Phytosanitary Measures) (Brown Rot in Egypt) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 261 of 2007 ) are amended, in Regulation 2(1) by the substitution for the definition of “Commission Decision”, of— | ||
“ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision No. 2004/4/EC of 22 December 2003, Commission Decision No. 2004/836/EC of 6 December 2004, Commission Decision No. 2005/840/EC of 25 November 2005, Commission Decision No. 2006/749/EC of 31 October 2006 and Commission Decision No. 2007/842/EC of 6 December 2007;”. | ||

These Regulations provide for the updating of emergency measures against the spreading of Pseudomonas solanacearum (Smith) Smith within the community as regards Egypt. | ||
