S.I. No. 688/2024 - Roads Act 1993 (Designation of National Managed Roads) Order 2024

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 10A (inserted by section 49 of the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 (No. 16 of 2023)) of the Roads Act 1993 (No. 14 of 1993) (as adapted by the Transport, Tourism and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 351 of 2020 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Roads Act 1993 (Designation of National Managed Roads) Order 2024.

2. The national roads being the N50 and those parts of the N1 and N11, classified as such under the Roads Act 1993 (Classification of National Roads) Order 2012 ( S.I. No. 53 of 2012 ), are designated as national managed roads to the extent as marked in red on the maps attached to this Order together with, in the case of each junction, such other parts of the road shown on the relevant map for the junction.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order designates the M50 Motorway, part of the M1 Motorway and part of the M11 Motorway as National Managed Roads in accordance with Section 10A of the Roads Act, 1993 .
