Port of Drogheda Act 1790

Within month after passing this act, 6 aldermen, and 7 common council men, to be elected commissioners. &c.

X. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That within one calendar month after the passing of this act, the mayor, sheriffs, burgesses, and commons of said town, shall elect and appoint six aldermen, and seven members of the common council of the corporation of the said town, to be, together with the mayor and recorder, and the representatives in parliament for the said town for the time being, and also the representatives in parliament for the time being for the counties of Meath and Louth, commissioners for carrying into execution the said act, and all the powers given and granted by the same; which said twenty-one persons shall be vested with all the aforesaid powers, as fully and effectually as if their names were herein specially set forth and inserted.
