Tonage of British vessels to be ascertained by certificate of regiltry.

V. And be it fuither enabled by the authority asoresaid, That the tonage of all ships or vessel belonging to British subjects which shall be liable to the payment of the aforesaid rates and duties, shall be taken and ascertained by the number of tons which are stated and set forth in the certificate of the registry of such ship or vessel, pursuant to an act of the twenty-seventh of his present Majesty, to be the burthen of such ship or vessel.
