Recovery of Penalties.
|
IV. And be it further enacted, That all Penalties to be incurred under this Ad shall be recovered in a summary Manner, before any One of His Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the County of Dublin, by Distress and Sale of the Offender’s Goods and Chattels; and in case no sufficient Distress can be had, it shall and may be lawful for such Justice of the Peace to commit the Person or Persons so offending to the Common Gaol or House of Correction of the said County, for any Time not exceeding Six Calendar Months, or until such Fine shall be paid.
