PIER AND HARBOUR ORDERS CONFIRMATION ACT 1864

CAP. XCIII.

An Act for confirming certain Provisional Orders made by the Board of Trade under The General Pier and Harbour Act, 1861, relating to Brighton, Eastbourne, Sandown, Walton-on-the-Naze, Clevedon, Rhyl, Bray, Kircubbin, Walton, (Suffolk), Holywood, Exe Bight, Lytham, Ardglass, Filey, Greenock, Carlingford Lough, Wexford, Torquay, and Oban. ‘WHEREAS a Provisional Order made by the Board of Trade under The General Pier and Harbour Act, 1861, is not of any Validity of Force whatever until the Conformation thereof by Act of Parliament:

‘And whereas it is expedient that the several Provisional Orders made by the Board of Trade under the said Act, set out in the Schedule hereto, with the Amendments herein-after mentioned, relating to the Ardglass, Carlingford Lough, and Oban Provisional Orders, and subject to the Provision herein-after contained, be confirmed by Act of Parliament:’

Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same, as follows:
