Relation of landlord and tenant determined by approval of advance.

3.[2] The approval of the Commissioners to the sanction of any advance shall be signified by an order as of date on which such approval was made, and from and after such date the vendee, in the event of the sale being carried out, shall be discharged from all liability to the vendor in respect of any liabilities affecting the holding, including all rent and arrears existing at the date of the agreement for sale between the landlord and tenant. Provided that, notwithstanding anything in this section expressed, the vendor shall be entitled to recover from the vendee interest in lieu of rent for the period which may elapse between the date of signing the agreement for sale and the date of the completion of the sale by the Land Commission, unless the parties shall have otherwise agreed.
