I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving full effect to Commission Decision 2008/857/EC of 10 November 20081 , Commission Decision 2009/839/EC of 13 November 20092 and Commission Decision 2010/714/EU of 25 November 20103 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Phytosanitary Measures) (Brown Rot in Egypt) (Amendment) Regulations 2011. | ||
2. The European Communities (Phytosanitary Measures) (Brown Rot in Egypt) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 261 of 2007 ) are amended in Regulation 2(1)— | ||
(a) by substituting for the definition of “Commission Decision” (inserted by the European Communities (Phytosanitary Measures) (Brown Rot in Egypt) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 11 of 2008 )), the following— | ||
“ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision 2004/4/EC of 22 December 2003 as amended by Commission Decision 2004/836/EC of 6 December 2004, Commission Decision 2005/840/EC of 25 November 2005, Commission Decision 2006/749/EC of 31 October 2006, Commission Decision 2007/842/EC of 6 December 2007, Commission Decision 2008/857/EC of 10 November 2008, Commission Decision 2009/839/EC of 13 November 2009 and Commission Decision 2010/714/EU of 25 November 2010;”., and | ||
(b) by substituting for the definition of “the Principal Regulations”, the following— | ||
“ ‘the Principal Regulations’ means the European Communities (Control of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products) Regulations 2004 ( S.I. No. 894 of 2004 );”. | ||
3. The European Communities (Phytosanitary Measures) (Brown Rot in Egypt) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 11 of 2008 ) are revoked. | ||
